Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Industrial Services Supervisor / Team Leader to lead our expanding Industrial Services team and oversee the safe and successful delivery of specialist industrial and environmental projects across the UK.

The Role

Based from our Kidderminster depot, this is a hands-on leadership role working on customer sites throughout the UK, overseeing the delivery of a wide range of industrial and environmental services.

The role involves regular travel and working away from home. Typically, this will involve one to three nights away per week, although some larger projects may require longer periods away.

Leading by example, you’ll supervise operational teams, coordinate day-to-day activities and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards while maintaining excellent customer relationships.

Projects include:

  • Oil tank cleaning
  • Fuel polishing
  • Confined space operations
  • Industrial water jetting
  • Site decommissioning
  • Fuel and oil tank installations
  • Environmental and industrial maintenance projects
  • Application of coatings and linings such as epoxy and polyurea
  • Garage forecourt projects

Key Responsibilities

We would expect people applying for this position to demonstrate experience in all of the below:

  • Supervise and lead Industrial Services teams on customer sites.
  • Plan, coordinate and oversee day-to-day project activities.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with company procedures and legislation.
  • Deliver site briefings and ensure compliance with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers on site, maintaining a professional and proactive approach.
  • Allocate work effectively and support team members throughout projects.
  • Complete site documentation, reports and project records accurately.
  • Ensure company vehicles, plant and equipment are maintained and operated safely.
  • Mentor and develop operatives, promoting high standards of safety, quality and professionalism.
  • Remain hands-on where required, supporting the team to successfully deliver projects.
  • Represent INNOVO professionally at all times.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous supervisory or team leader experience within industrial services or a similar operational environment.
  • Be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
  • Hold a full UK manual driving licence (HGV licence advantageous).
  • Be capable of working in confined spaces and at height.
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Have a strong commitment to health, safety and environmental compliance.
  • Be reliable, punctual and professional.
  • Be flexible regarding working hours, including occasional weekends, bank holidays and unsociable hours.
  • Be capable of working independently while also leading and motivating a team.

  • CSCS or CCNSG Safety Passport
  • Confined Space Entry
  • Breathing Apparatus (BA)
  • High Pressure Water Jetting
  • IPAF
  • First Aid at Work
  • SSSTS or SMSTS
  • CPCS or NPORS plant qualifications
  • HGV Licence

Experience Required

  • Minimum three years’ experience within industrial services, environmental services or a similar operational industry.
  • Previous experience supervising teams and delivering projects safely on customer sites.
  • Practical experience using industrial equipment, tools and machinery.
  • Experience managing works under RAMS and maintaining high health and safety standards.
